ERA info day on 11 December. Interested applicants can learn about the new calls in the 2026-2027 Horizon Europe work programme for “Reforming and enhancing the European research and innovation system”. In this full-day information session, speakers from the European Commission will present the new calls and participants can engage in Q&A sessions.
The work programme 2026-2027 includes two ERA calls with a total of 13 topics, comprising both coordination and support and research and innovation actions, designed to build knowledge and capacities at the level of institutions and ecosystems to adopt reforms and practices in line with the Pact for R&I and the ERA Policy Agenda (2025-2027).
The call topics are organised around four complementary pillars:
(1) Institutional changes for ERA,
(2) Ecosystems for ERA,
(3) Citizens and science in ERA, and
(4) New knowledge for ERA
offering opportunities for a wide range of R&I stakeholders, e.g., universities, research performing and funding organisations, research evaluation agencies, networks of researchers, publishers, industry and start-ups, policymakers, local authorities, and public bodies.
