The Co-funded European Partnership of the Horizon Europe Programme for the urban transition towards a Sustainable Future «DUT – Driving Urban Transitions» has published the pre-announcement of the 2026 Call for submission of research proposals for funding research projects. The submission of proposals will begin on 1 September 2026 and this is the fifth call of the Partnership. You can find the pre-announcement of the Call here and in Annex A you can find the national rules of the participant funders (including GSRI).
GSRI will fund research proposals with 1M€. Each proposal with Greek participant (s) will be funded with a maximum of 180.000€ per proposal if Greek applicants are only participants and 220.000€ if Greek participants assume coordination of the proposal, according to the national participation and eligibility rules, as described in Annex A of the above mentioned pre-announcement of the Call.
ATTENTION! The final text of the Call for Proposals as well as the final national rules for participation will be published by the end of August on the website of the call: https://dutpartnership.eu/calls/dut-call-2026. Please note that the DUT website will be updated asap with GSRI participation.
The draft Call text foresees three Transition Pathways:
1) Positive Energy Districts
2) 15 – minute City
3) Circular Urban Economies
Please note that Greece will participate in all thematic transition pathways and sub-themes, except the sub-theme of the 15 – minute City: «Nurture neighborhood economies – activate innovation in local everyday offers».
The submission process includes two stages:
1st stage: submission of pre-proposals (pre-proposal phase-Stage 1)
2nd stage: submission of full proposals (of those invited to submission after approval at the first stage – full-proposal phase – Stage 2)
The submission deadline for pre-proposals is 17 November 2026 (pre–proposal phase – Stage 1), whereas the deadline for submission of full proposals is
15 April 2027 (full proposal phase – Stage 2).
