The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP), under the European Commission’s Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, announces the pre-publication of the First Thematic Portfolio of Projects.
The aim of the call is to connect and strengthen the networking of existing projects in two main areas, with a duration of 2 years (early 2026 to early 2028):
- Innovations and digitalisation for the management of sustainable, small-scale fisheries with a low environmental footprint in EU seas.
- Innovations for enhancing sustainability in marine aquatic plant cultivation and the circular economy in the blue bio-economy sector.
Projects that have already received funding from SBEP or other European, national or regional funding programmes are invited to participate in this networking strategy, contributing to the creation of partnerships, the exchange of knowledge and the acceleration of progress in the above areas.
