In view of the formulation of the next European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (Framework Programme 10 – FP10), the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation is publishing the preliminary national position paper on it.
The most significant priorities are the retention and increase of the budget, the support of basic and collaborative research, the simplification of procedures and the support of SMEs, which aim at innovation and the competitiveness of the European market.

It is noted that FP10 will succeed the current Framework Programme “Horizon Europe” and it will enter into force in January 2028. Formal negotiations with the European Commission for the co-formulation of the FP10 will begin in July 2025.
