Very great success for the Greek scientific / research community, as through the “Flagship Action” of the Ministry of Development & Investments for the study of Covid-19, emerged the first Greek, rapid antigen test (“rapid antigen test”).
Following the above, the research project is already in the search phase for a company, which will undertake the mass production of monoclonal antibodies and their placement on a special growth membrane (“strip”) to
create a rapid antigen test (“rapid antigen test”) ), which will allow the systematic and targeted control of the population.
The Greek Research and Scientific community, through the cooperation of six Research Centers and four HEIs, under the supervision and funding of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, plays its own
important role and is mobilized in the effort to address the health and economic and social crisis. The implementation of such a program brings Greece to the global front of developments in the study of the virus and the production of knowledge to deal with this health crisis.
