Visitors of Pavilion 7, at the 86th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), will have the opportunity to find the answers to these and other questions with the help of GSRI spokespersons, scientists from Research Centres’ and executives from startup enterprises registered with the ELEVATE GREECE National Startup Registry, who will be there.
The General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) will, as every year, be present at the 86th TIF, in the Ministry of Development and Investments Pavilion 7, stand 5.
Visitors will learn about important research achievements of GSRI-supervised Research and Technology Bodies and innovative enterprises, which foster innovation and the reconstruction of production in Greece.
Activities and achievements presented include:
- The Magic Mirror smartphone application (app) for online shopping, which allows users to try on clothes in order to see how they fit using augmented reality (AR)
- The EKATI walking and climbing robot. Its unique, biology-inspired design, combined with its incorporated vacuum system and specially-designed suction cups, allow it to adhere to any surface, regardless of how steep it is, even upside down.
- The flagship initiative “National Network on Climate Change and its Impacts – CLIMPACT» |
- the “Other Air” – Automated Classroom Air Purification System
- activities conducted by the HCMR Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Aquaculture (IMBBC) and CretAquarium
- the «NanoSpot Αi» prototype for detecting presence of SARS-CoV2 antibodies using artificial intelligence
- field research on data collection in Greece in the context of the European Social Survey (ESS) – 10th wave
- the stand-alone “Materials Foundry Robot” for Circular Economy use
- the digital, augmented-reality interactive game “Escape through Culture”
- the «myELeusis» app unveiling the secrets of ancient Eleusis through cutting-edge technologies
- “Emvolia” (Vaccines), a children’s board game, which informs children on the importance of vaccination in an fun and easy-to-understand manner
- programmes funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation (HFRI/ELIDEK)
- Action “RESEARCH-CREATE-INNOVATE”
- results of the ACB-GEL project: production, marketing and administration of cord blood platelet gel to diabetic-foot patients.
The GSRI stand will host startup enterprises registered with the Elevate Greece National Startup Registry. You can visit us and discuss with their spokespersons.
The GSRI will hold an Open Event titled “Leveraging investment in Research and Innovation to improve quality of life and foster economic growth” on Saturday 10th September 2022, 15:30 – 17:30, at the reception hall of the Ministry of Development and Investments Pavilion.
During the International Fair, parallel events will be organized by GSRI-supervised Research and Technology Bodies, as well by start-up enterprises, at the Pavilion 7 reception hall.
