The EU Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership has the pleasure to invite you to contribute to its workshop “Blue Economy – The key towards Mediterranean Regional Sustainability” organized on the 7th of June (10:45 -17:00 LOCAL TIME ) in Athens, in the framework of the Posidonia 2024 . We would be delighted to engage with the voices of the Med and beyond, including for the aim of co-designing our strategy.
Under Horizon Europe, the EU Research and Innovation Framework Programme 2021-2027, the EU Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership is a key instrument to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda 2030. Coined the ‘Blue arm of the Green Deal’, the partnership supports the green and digital transitions in the field of the blue economy.
Co-funded by the European Commission, 29 countries are aligning programmes and pooling resources to promote each year a joint transnational call for R&I and a series of activities in order to boost the transformation towards a climate-neutral, sustainable, productive and competitive blue economy by 2030.
The Partnership strategy is informed by the regional agendas, an approach that is reflected also in the definition of the call text. In this framework, the Partnership organises a series of workshop across its four sea-basins and the Atlantic oceans to keep valuing the specificities of the local community, for which impact has to happen.
